On the one hand, it is to directly showcase the new look and new posture of the logistics park after the Lunar New Year. On the other hand, it is also to bring good luck to the logistics park before the Lunar New Year."

However, the earlier procurement date also means that the time available for the logistics park to make a choice has been significantly shortened. The relevant person in charge of the logistics park stated, "In fact, when the decision was made for the logistics park to transform into serving refrigerated and frozen goods enterprises, a preliminary plan for upgrading the handling equipment had already been made. Firstly, it must be 'new energy' logistics equipment, because the refrigerated and frozen goods include many fresh foods such as meat, so the handling equipment must comply with safety regulations and environmental protection requirements; secondly, it must be a 'big brand', because the storage environment for refrigerated and frozen goods is mainly low-temperature, and the quality requirements for handling equipment are relatively high. Big brands usually have quality guarantees; finally, it must be 'good service', as the low-temperature environment can affect the operation of handling equipment. If the service is not good, any malfunction will affect the operation of the logistics park."

Therefore, adhering to the principle of "new energy, big brand, good service", BYD forklifts stood out among a host of forklift brands and eventually became the ultimate solution for upgrading the material handling equipment in this logistics park.



02.The integration of advantages is BYD's winning formula.

The person in charge of the logistics park said that BYD forklifts could become the final solution because they were excellent in the three key aspects mentioned earlier: new energy, big brand and good service. The outstanding vehicle features of BYD forklifts also impressed them. Therefore, they finally decided that BYD forklifts were the only choice for the handling equipment.

It is learned that according to the future development plan of the logistics park, three types of vehicles were initially defined, namely 2.0T stand-up pallet stacker, 1.8T three-wheel and four-wheel counterbalanced forklifts. Eventually, the 2.0T stand-up pallet stacker and 1.8T three-wheel counterbalanced forklift were selected. Among the initially defined models, all three types of vehicles met the requirements of the logistics park for the size and weight of the goods to be carried in the future. The reason why the three-wheel forklift was chosen over the four-wheel one was its smaller turning radius.

"At first, we were actually inclined towards the four-point model because we believed that in low-temperature environments, where frost and other slippery conditions are more likely to occur, the four-point model might offer better stability and thus higher safety compared to the three-point model. However, after actually test-driving the vehicles, we found that the stability of the BYD 1.8T three-point counterbalanced forklift was no less than that of the four-point model. Coupled with its smaller turning radius, we ultimately chose it," said a relevant person in charge of the logistics park. "The 2.0T stand-up pallet stacker has a wider field of vision and will be able to meet our needs for high-level stacking of refrigerated and frozen goods in the future; the 1.8T three-point counterbalanced forklift is highly maneuverable and will be able to move freely among our dense shelves in the future. The combination of the two will effectively help us achieve efficient work both in three-dimensional and two-dimensional spaces."


03.BYD forklifts easily pass the "extreme test"

It is understood that the logistics park also conducted an "extreme test" on BYD forklifts, simulating a situation where the vehicle might be forgotten to be charged but still needed to work in the future.

They used the vehicle's battery power down to below 15% and left it overnight without charging. The next morning, they began to simulate actions such as handling, stacking, and lifting. The person in charge of the logistics park said, "This kind of simulation is actually not a compliant operation. However, anything can happen in the park, so we also want to practice and prepare relevant plans in case such a situation occurs. The results were completely beyond our expectations. First, the battery power did not decrease after being left overnight without charging. Second, with only 15% remaining power, it still ensured normal operation in refrigerated and frozen environments. This made us amazed at BYD forklift's new energy technology and filled us with confidence in the handling process of the refrigerated and frozen business in the logistics park supported by BYD forklifts in the future."
